a wonderful little gem

I came upon this book my accident and have been charmed by it ever since. The author gives you the practical uses for many plants and herbs in clean and easy to understand prose, but that is not the best part of the book. What set this apart from other books are the personal notes that she includes on each one. It's a little snap shot at an author's life that truly is devoted to her studies and uses of the healing plants around her. I've ended up giving this book to several friends as a gift and everyone just loves it.
