Pretty Good

I loved the way the characters met and how the author described his point of view when he first saw her. The story line was reallly good and it was great to have a strong woman as the heroine. The only thing I didn't like was the way he told her about the nickname her crew gave her without regard to her feelings. He was pretty insensitive at times. There were some funny parts though, like when they get caught in the office at work. Overall this was a good book.

Caught in a conundrum of their own making, Corrine and Mike are likeable, sympathetic, and witty as they struggle to cope with the consequences of their stormy night together. Corrine wants to force distance between herself and the men she commands, even as she wants to shatter her Ice Princess reputation. As she struggles to control her passions, Mike's outrageous antics keep her desperately on edge, thereby maintaining a delicious tension in the novel. Corrine's parents and the events surrounding the climatic scene are wonderfully scripted, making the conclusion absolutely delightful. Sizzling passion and electric awareness makes HER PERFECT STRANGER perfect for the keeper shelf. Very highly recommended.

Wonderful, unique romance!

I always love Jill Shalvis's books, but this one in particular really showcased her abilities. The astronaut angle was wonderful--very contemporary and modern, with such a twist with the heroine dealing with being the boss in a mostly male world. I loved Corinne's need to be a woman for one wild and stormy night, and equally loved that Mike was "gone" on her from the very beginning. I'd love to read more astronaut books, Jill!
