The story was pretty entertaining. I especially liked their banter in the beginning of the book. However, I've been readings loads and loads of pre-1988 Harlequin Presents so I'm sort of used to hero/heroine battles with each other mentally and physically, the "cruel" controlling hero, etc. so that is why I took out 1 star. Lisa and Oliver definitely had chemistry and the story was believable but I guess it was just too fairytailish for me. This is a "christmas" romance novel so maybe that is why. Im just not used to reading a romance novel where the hero/heroine sort of gets together so fast. Of course Lisa and Oliver did have their misunderstandings but I felt it got resolved right away and there was never any danger of them not getting back together. I gave this book four stars because it was readable, I had no problems with the hero and heroine and Penny Jordan does write a good story. I took out the 1 star because at the moment I personally still used to the Harlequin Presents hero pre1988.
