Brilliant start to learning calligraphy!!!!

This book teaches you a basic form of hebrew calligraphy, and then shows you different types of fonts. It also teaches you how to hold the pen, how to draw lines in angles and degrees, and how to erase mistakes. This book is very helpful, and perfect for a beginner. A********

Good introduction to hebrew calligraphy

There are many books on roman script calligraphy, but this is one of only a handful on hebrew calligraphy. No prior knowledge of general calligraphy or the hebrew alphabet is assumed. Detailed instruction on forming the standard hebrew square script is provided, along with a short annotated bibliography of additional scripts and medieval examplars. This book is a fine introduction for beginning hobbyists and is available at reasonable prices. More serious hobbyists and aspiring professionals will be better serves by seeking out the much more rare and expensive book by Cara Goldberg Marks called 'Handbook of Hebrew Calligraphy.'
