very good to have on hand

Recently I was attacked by sickness. This has become very unusual for me. It has become more normal for me to go years without being sick at all. It was a cold or flu I guess. As sicknesses go, not a very fearsome one, but yet any sickness is no fun and can really drain you. When I was younger I would often get a cold and it was normal for me to cough hard for at least a month or two before I got over it. While I have tried to improve my diet by eliminating junk foods as much as possible, the main thing that has made the difference is my growing understanding of healing and God's will. Because of tradition, it has taken me many years, decades actually, to come to the clear understanding I now have about sickness, healing, and God's will. I now believe that healing and health is a gift provided by my wonderful Heavenly Father. We cannot earn it by anything we do, but we must believe in order to fully enjoy this gift. The evidence for our belief is the written Word of God, the Scriptures on healing in the Bible. I believe that all sickness is an attack, and should be resisted. I believe the devil is ultimately behind all sickness. (This does not mean there is no scientific basis of sickness, just that the devil is ultimately behind it.) Of course, I should not have been surprised by this attack of sickness, since I published a book called "Healing Words From Heaven." In this book I gathered the Scriptures from the Bible that I would want to have easily accessible if I, or someone I loved, was attacked by a sickness. We who teach the Bible have to also live by what we teach. We can't just tell you what you should do and not do it ourselves, without getting into trouble. Although I published the book and knew what it said, I admit I had not been feeding my faith on those Scriptures recently. It is easy for all of us to get busy and neglect things we know we should be doing. My focus had just been elsewhere so my faith in this area of healing was not being fed. And somehow, maybe through a lack of adequate rest, a door was opened for sickness to gain a foothold. It is always easiest to resist sickness when you do so at the very first symptom. But I was busy with some projects and did not immediately focus on reading and speaking healing Scriptures, so I got sicker. Finally I woke up and started doing what I tell others to do: take God's Word as a medicine. I got my "Healing Words From Heaven" book out and started reading a section out loud multiple times each day. My favorite section has become the Scriptures in "Watch Jesus Heal." How my faith was encouraged as I read those Scriptures out loud! One reason reading them out loud is so good is because it forces you to slow down and concentrate on what you are reading. It would be nice to tell you that the first day I started focusing on the healing scriptures, I became free from all symptoms of sickness, but I didn't. I got worse before I got better! Excellent Book

My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with metastasis to the liver at the end of July 2009. The doctors gave us no hope for a cure whatsoever. However from the moment we got the news, (to be precise since 2 days before), I had a hunch that some terrible news was about to break into our family, but I also had a feeling of security that God was always with me in the past and that He will not let us be broken by any future circumstance in our life whatever it might be. Soon after the shocking news when everyone was literally broken down, I began to try and explain from what I had learned from the word of God, that God is always there for us and that He can do much more in one second than doctors can in 1000 years. It brought some comfort to my family and my father during those agonising moments. However my father told me it is true that God does miracles but also many people lose their battle with cancer and no miracle manifests - therefore we have to be realistic and also be ready for the worse. My father is a strong fighter and I can say he has won many difficult or near impossible battles in life. But the doctors, one after the other where saying all the same thing that this cancer is practically a rapid death sentence as there is no known cure so far. Therefore now he was facing the ultimate test in his life. (and me too - I was facing a real big faith test). I had contacted Dean Wall as I had a very high esteem of him after the great blessings I received through his daily devotional on [...]. He simply told me: `Give this book to your father - I believe it is God's will for your father to be well'. I gave my father this book and he read it all in the 1st day. This book was literally a life saver for him. It changed the wrong perception he had, like many Christians have about the subject. Unfortunately the traditional belief that is commonly taught in certain churches is that at times God sends sickness to people or permits sickness on people to teach them a lesson or that God does not normally heal but if you pray and beg long enough you might convince Him to move. This book clearly teaches that it is always God's will for people to be healed of any type of sickness whatever the sickness is. Sickness is part of the curse that Christ redeemed us from when he died a horrible death on the cross. Anyone that believes in this fundamental truth can receive this blessing from God for free because of His grace out of His great love for mankind through the sacrifice of Jesus. It explains in a very simple and clear way that to receive from God, one must believe this truth first of all and that one has to actively receive through faith these great blessings offered to us by Him through Jesus Christ. It also explains how to guard against losing such blessings through ignorance, doubt, losing hope in the process and other factors. I'm not a stranger to receiving healing from God for my physical body. Over the years I have just simply rebuked the devil and taken a Scripture that pertained to healing and just thanked God that I was healed regardless of what my body was doing, and it has never failed me. However, just recently, I have experienced something in my life for which this book, Healing Words From Heaven, was a real godsend. I started having some sharp pain in my right shoulder blade area. I really don't know what caused it, but it kept getting worse as the days passed by. It was starting to affect my sleep because I couldn't find a way to lie in bed in a comfortable position. I commanded the devil to keep his hands off me, and declared, by Jesus' stripes, I'm healed. However, not only did the pain persist, but it started spreading to my entire back area and into my neck along with some headaches. I wasn't getting much sleep so I would take a couple of aspirin to kill the pain so I could get some sleep, but as soon as the aspirin wore off the problem hadn't changed one bit. After a couple of weeks or so of this, I realized this was no ordinary problem. One night when I went to bed at around 10p.m. I woke up shortly after 11p.m. I was thinking it must be at least 2 or 3a.m. When I looked at the clock and realized that I had only been in bed one hour, I knew something different had to be done. I quietly got out of bed trying not to wake up my wife, and I went into the family room and somehow I just knew that the devil had a major attack on my body and was trying to kill me. As much as Jesus went through to provide healing for me, I was determined that I wasn't going to let the devil snuff my life out. The book I'm referring to was given to me by a dear friend of ours, in fact he gave both my wife and me a copy. We'll, I had the book for weeks and never picked it up. I had my own set of Scriptures that I meditate on, and to start something new in this busy life is a real challenge. My wife had really gotten into the book and kept commenting about what a blessing it was. She was using the book to receive healing from God for what we think was a stress fracture of a bone in her foot. Her foot had swelled with some odd color in it and was very painful to walk on. She did use an Ace bandage to support the foot when she did have to walk on it. The fullness of her healing manifested in 31 days with no doctor's appointment, no cast and no medication. We are praising the Lord and are so thankful for His Word and this book. Well, the night I woke up around 11:p.m., I had asked the Lord to forgive me if I had done anything to cause the problem, and to give me wisdom to know what to do.
