Homicide Detective J. J. Errol gets shot in the head while chasing a desperate criminal. It wasn't a life threatening injury but he wakes up the in hospital with some memory loss. He has several angry women standing around his bed and he realizes that he had more than one girlfriend. An attorney gets killed and his clients who happen to be criminals on Errol's SOL list start to die too. Everyone in the department begins to look at Errol especially since several of them die from head shots.
