Superb book by first-time author

A fellow voracious reader and dear friend of mine wrote me about 'Have You Landed?', highly recommending it to me. Emma Comery has written a fabulous tome which reads like a book by an author of many books rather than a first-time book author. 'Have You Landed?' shares the stories of several spouses/partners/significant others of military servicepeople and the challenges they face while their loved ones are on deployment. Ms. Comery is a deft storyteller, listening deeply to each person's story and then capturing them on the pages within, expressing each with care, emotion, and a sprinkle of humor. Not being from a military family, I learned a great deal about what those who wait at home for their loved one to have landed go through. I look forward to more books by Ms. Comery whose gifts of writing and storytelling have a bright future!!
