Haunting the Future
The Montgomery family has survived the journey to Atheria, but returning home does not mean the danger is over.
As Cody, Cameron, Joshua, Jamie, Madison, Austin, and Curtis make their way back from Africa, the consequences of the choices they have made begin following them home. Joshua is still recovering from a brutal attack in Algiers, while Madison struggles with a secret that could destroy everything she has built. To the Montgomerys, she is Madison Brooks. In truth, she is Jennifer Collins, the daughter of Rachel Collins, sent to infiltrate their lives and gain their trust.
But deception is only one of the threats closing in.
Cody and Jamie prepare to announce their engagement and begin planning a future together, even as Cody wrestles with the responsibilities of family, business, and the secrets he and Cameron have carried home from Atheria. Meanwhile, powerful business rivals begin moving against the Montgomery empire, threatening a major international acquisition and reopening old grudges.
Far from Aspen Falls, an even greater danger is developing. A rogue Chinese military faction has captured American scientists and is forcing them to complete advanced aircraft technology that could change the balance of power. With lives at stake and an international conspiracy growing larger by the day, the Montgomery family is about to be pulled into a conflict far beyond anything they expected.
At Aspen Falls, strange dreams and unanswered questions begin to surface. Jamie is haunted by a recurring vision she cannot explain, while the mysterious past of Austin Chastain suggests that his connection to the family may be more important than anyone realizes.
Love deepens. Secrets multiply. Enemies move closer.
And the choices of the past are no longer simply memories.
They are Haunting the Future.
Haunting the Future is Book 6 of the Aspen Falls Series, continuing the sweeping story of the Montgomery family with romance, espionage, family drama, international intrigue, danger, betrayal, and mysteries that reach across generations.
