Hartplain: Journey to the Shevan: Die waiting or fight trying.

By Mik Stainer

This first in the series novel is the beginnings of an epic adventure between two companions to find the reason their world is slowly falling apart. Ashwerst Zethrope and Yasnim Bezzum have known each other since childhood and must put aside their many differences to try and cure the world they live in from an unknown source. They must search for the problem (following the small amount of information they have between them) and tackle it face on. Their mission is to save the world they know, their loved ones back home and everything they love and hold dear from the continuing despair that the world is facing day in day out. The road ahead of them looks bleak and they face many dangers on their journey; however, they have a less promising life if they choose not to try and save their world as otherwise death is inevitable. Rather than die waiting, they choose to fight trying. This fantasy, adventure story is full of twist and turns that leave them questioning themselves, the other ones motives and they are constantly uncertain of who else they can trust. They face many challenges including ignoring the many things they have been taught but also following some of the advice they have been told. While deciding what they must and must not listen to, to save their world, they have to battle the troubles that the world of Hartplain faces as well as battling with their own troubles and insecurities that they face in their lives as they work together to find resolve.
