Rekindling Memories and Gathering New Ones

At first, one sees this box with two toy bears, Hannah and Harry, last name Herrington. Opening the box, you will find these "well dressed" toy bears, each with overalls and their name tags on the front, hooded jackets, matching scarves, and an accompanying book. There is an excitement about having the storybook to accompany these two bears, each a handful,(and I mean in size), to make the story come alive. The box says, "The Christmas Adventure" Book & Teddy Bear Set, but it's more than that, when the two main characters are visited by their grand parents (also bears) in New England, just before Christmas. Their Grandparents provide the two little bears with tales of their own childhood, and the toys that were special gifts when they were about the same age. To honor their Grandparents, Harry and Hannah decide to find those special toys to rekindle the childhood memories of their Grandparents. One night, just before Christmas, as they lay in their beds, Hannah and Harry decide to find those special toys for Grandma and Grandpa. How do they do it? Well,the Herrington bears have an uncommon talent of thinking about a place, while closing their eyes tightly, and imagining themselves going on adventures, travelling to find these special toys. The adventures take them to the North Pole, to England, and to Switzerland. Do they find those special toys that Grandma and Grandpa remember from their childhood? You will want to read this book to your little ones to find out who they meet in their search for the very special toys, and who helped them at each place. This is a very special Christmas story and it concludes with a "magical Christmas" in New York City. Personally, it sounds like a way for your little ones to begin gathering their own Christmas memories and keepsakes. Why there are no other reviews, I cannot fathom. It's a fantastic story of Christmas memories and magic. I look forward to giving this set to two special children, this Christmas, 2008.
