In the early 1920's California saw a sudden explosion of new religious thought sweeping the populace. People had begun to seek new beliefs systems to help them try to understand the world around them and all of the new changes happening through technological advances and politics. Most of these new religious movements were benign, if a bit on the bizarre side. Unfortunately some were not so harmless and their main mission was not to save souls, but to fleece others out of as much of their savings as they could. The Divine Order of the Royal Arms of the Great Eleven was one such cult, lead by the guileful and greedy May Otis Blackburn and her daughter, Ruth Angeline Wieland. The story of this cult has been told a multitude of times. This book is focused on learning more about who the members were and what happened to them after the cult broke up. I will present my findings of a few mysteries as well and share some never before released information. The research I have amassed over the years is so extensive that I have decided to break one book into multiple volumes. This is Book One.
