Don't let negative emotions keep you from living abundantly. He says he overcame depression through humor, work, and exercise. He adds, "I have found that depression does not have to be debilitating. It can be managed and minimized so that its power is not so all-consuming." A person who is emotionally detached can help a depressed person gain a healthy, truthful perspective.He talks about taking guilt away from victims of depression. Consider the question he asks, "We need to ask ourselves if we would suggest only spiritual help for someone suffering from any other inherited illness, physical injury, or biochemical imbalance."
