Halloween Night II (Never Take Candy From a Stranger....)

The sequel to Halloween Night gives as much of a plot twist as the first. In this one, Brenda has horrible memories about last Halloween. She can't move on, and neither can Dina, who returns from the psychiatric hospital. Even though Brenda planned to murder her cousin Halley last year, it didn't turn out so well. Brenda was nearly murdered herself when Dina literally took a stab at her. With Halley up to her old tricks of stealing Brenda's new boyfriend, Jake, and Jake showing no remorse about cheating, Brenda comes up with a new plan of murder. However, there is a maniac running around town, killing people. Dina keeps glaring at Brenda in the school halls. Is it because she wants to get revenge or because Brenda has a new friend named Angela? Plus, someone is leaving Brenda messages about this being her last Halloween. Brenda might be the one stabbed in the chest with no foam protection this year. Honestly, I enjoyed this one, but I figured out who the murderer was a few pages before it was revealed. The fake clues always throw me off. But I know that nine times out of ten, the most conspicuous person is not the murder; it's the one you don't suspect until the very end. I would recommend this book to any young adult who loves R.L. Stine's work and is into murder, suspense books.

Halloween Fun

"Halloween Night II" takes place the following Halloween after "Halloween Night". Brenda, the main character, has two best friends, Traci and Angela. (Traci and Dina were her two best friends in the first book.) Brenda's cousin, Halley, still lives with Brenda, and is still a pest; Brenda's parents are still very unsensitive to Brenda's irritability. Halley is still stealing boyfriends. The media tells about a maniac in town that is on the loose. And when Brenda is at the mall, she sees a shady-looking man who chases her, and then comes to her house and knocks. She thinks this man is the maniac. He absolutely terrifies her. Brenda is getting Halloween horror pranks (rotten meat, worms, threatening notes, etc.) again this year. She is determined to find out who is doing it. Brenda is upset with her boyfriend Jake for going out with Halley. But on Halloween, Brenda, Traci, and Jake all dress up as skeletons. Brenda and Traci, with Angela's help, have horror plans for Jake on Halloween . . .

Halloween Night

I read the book called Halloween Night by. R.L. Stine. I gave this book 4 stars because it is very suspensful and it draws you in more and more every page. The characters aren't who they seem to be and the plot gets thicker every chapter! It is about this girl named Brenda and her friends Traci and Dina that hate Brenda's cousin Halley. They are out to get her, it seems innocent enough until something goes wrong! Her plan backfires. Now the bad things are being done to her! But by whom? Is it Halley, the jealous cousin? Is it Traci.. her best friend? Or is it Dina, the one you would least suspect? You'll have to find out for yourself and check out the book Halloween Night by R.L.Stine.

I've read this book millions of times and the sequel is sogreat i mean first you think its dina then... and why would you release a maniac only within a year they try to kill someone why didnt dina go to jail cause r.l stine is the master he always thinks of soemthing weird brenda is going to be messed up after after all the crazy friends shes had i recommend this book so go read it you can almost think halley is going to steal jake from brenda make way for number 3

It was great!

I like it better than the first! I would reacomend it to any one who likes R.L.Stine!

Who said the sequel isn't as good as the first?

My name is Lisa and I'm 17. I have read almost all of R.L. Stine's books. I read the first Halloween Night and I just read Halloween Night II. And it was great! In the 1st book Brenda thinks Halley is the person trying to ruin her life when it is her best friend Dina. And now she thinks Halley is up to her old tricks again until Dina gets out of a psychiatric hospital. Then the terror begins. Brenda thinks it's Dina trying to kill her again but it's not. It's one of her other friends. Which one is it? Read it and find out!
