three point five stars for Gyspy

From the back of the book: THEY'D COME FULL CIRCLE Shay was the raven-haired beauty the Falconer brothers called Gypsy. The four men each found her irresistible. But it was Lyon Falconer who claimed her - when he didn't have the right - and sealed her fate. And it was Ricky, the youngest Falconer, who picked up the fragments of Shay's shattered life and married her out of love. Only now, with her husband's death, destiny hurled Shay back within Lyon's reach. It was the moment he'd been waiting for - a final chance to prove that Shay had always been - always would be - HIS Gypsy! My take: Nineteen-year-old Gypsy saw the thirty-five year old Lyon one day while working as a typist at Lyon's family company. Poor thing, it was over for her as soon as she laid her eyes on the very handsome Lyon who noticed Gypsy's Elizabeth Taylor like coloring and beauty. The two tried to deny their feeling for each other but they just couldn't. Their affair fell apart because Lyon was unwilling to divorce his wife yes WIFE so he could marry Gypsy. There is a very important reason why he refused to divorce his wife but I won't tell it here. Anyway, after their affair breaks up, Gypsy is very heart broken. Lyon's younger brother Ricky steps in to help her get over loss. As the months went by and the two spent time around each other, they feel in love. Or I should say that Gypsy feel in love with Ricky because Ricky was in love with Gypsy the moment he laid eyes on her. To add insult to injury, the two married and Lyon was forced to attend the wedding to keep gossip at bay. You can't imagine how much it hurt him to see the love of his life marrying his brother. The book picks up five years after the initial meeting between Gypsy and Lyon. Gypsy's husband, Ricky has passed away in a plane crash and she returning to England to plan his funeral. The physical attraction between the two is as strong as ever. Wow, this book is longer than any of Harlequin stuff I've ever read. I usually read the harlequin presents line. IIRC, this book has 325 pages. Well this book should have been chopped at around 200 pages. To an extent, this book was at times redundant and long-winded. I give it three point five stars Thing you may or maynot like about his book: 1. physical abuse- Gypsy's grandfather slaps Lyon's wife. 2. the fact that Lyon's wife "male friend" does nothing to protect her. Keep in mind I don't want an all out brawl to go down at a funeral but dude protect your woman. 3. If you don't like adultery you certainly won't like this book. The hero lyon had wife all along. His affair with Gypsy wasn't his first. 4. Heroine marries hero's brother. So unless you like the keeping it in the family theme, you may not enjoy this book. 5. The hero has blond hair. 6. Hero makes move on the heroine the night of his brother's funeral. Tacky tacky tack

Awsome book. I have read it several times

This is a great book(384 pages). It was given to me in 1986 when I was 13. I was sick in bed for over a month. Out of total boredom I started reading, and this book was one of those that got me totally hooked on reading. It was like pulling teeth to get me to read before. I am now 35 and I still love this book. I won't ever get rid of it. I am tempted to buy a spare copy while they are still around. It is full of love, heartache, passion, drama, jealousy, rivalry, and suspense. Everytime I read it I finish it in one sitting. I can't ever put it down.

Awesome book!!!! Passionate!!!

Could not put the book down. Read this book. I have re-read this book over so many times and I still think it is great. Lyon is so strong and passionate, as is Shay. A keeper!!!!

Beautiful! I couldn't put it down!
