Can't put it down!

I'm only half way through this book and I know I'll be up the rest of the night finishing it. This is one of those books that completely engulfs you into it. I can't believe some of the negative reviews on it...though I haven't finished it, perhaps the ending as one reviewer thought will be disappointing. Even so, I love it when a book takes complete hold of me and I can't put it down. One other thing, I really want to know the authors real name and what other books he's most known for writing.

Guest Shot

I found the book to be very entertaining. Not the best novel I've ever read, but very good reading. The main thing I really appreciated was the fact that the story took off like a rocket. From the very first page you're hooked. A lot of novels make me wait sometimes until mid-novel before getting to the real meat of the story. This novel definitely did not do that.

I think this book rocks

Hey the rating is messed up because this guy rated it one star three times. . .Not nice! Anyways, this book is very good. The protagonist of course made stupid decisions and foolish moves, after all she is human. . .perfection isn't what the author wanted to make out of her and ahhhhh i hate the ending LOL but the book is divine of course!

Ignore the review above - one of the best I've read!

I was amazed to read the review that appears above giving "Guest Shot" only one star - at this time, the only review that appears. I read novels constantly, and I found this to be one of the most intriguing I've ever read. In searching for more about the author, I found out that it is a pseudonym for a New York Times bestselling author - which is an indicator, in my opinion, of how far off the mark the other reviewer is when he calls the author a "beginner."The book grips you from the beginning and sets up a very unique premise - that of a murderer wanting to appear on a TV talk show BEFORE he murders anyone. In this day when serial killer/detective novels are a dime a dozen, to come up with any kind of truly unique premise is an achievement in itself. But this author never fails to deliver the intrigue. In fact, even the very last paragraph will probably leave you applauding the author, because he personally challenges your own balance of cynicism and hope in a way that is completely valid given the themes of the novel.I found it hard to put the novel down during the busy holiday season, and I would recommend it to ANYONE who appreciates taut, thoughtful, and provocative writing. But I STILL want to know who David Locke is!

Loved it!!

I thought this was a rollercoaster of a book. Found it very hard to put down. Mr. Locke is an alias for another best selling author, and it shows. The book pulls you in immediately with the Mystery Guest character, and keeps upping the ante throughout. A new twist on reality TV for those of us that like that sort of thing.
