It's a collection of writing from radically different writers, writing in radically different styles. In fact, that's what this is an anthology of. Because of that, you may not read through the whole thing with a smile on your face. But that's not the point.It's here to introduce some of the Canadian writers who have tried to do something differently. Not every author is going to hit it off with every reader. They're not meant to. The treasure of this book is finding those who do.However, the fault (in my case anyway, which by no means is that of the books, in fact, it is surely one of the reasons the book was published) is, that once you find that writer (or writers), you may not be able to find any of their books.But perhaps that's just one more reason to have this collection.(I personally loved Gibson, Wynand, Schroeder, and Zend)
