With all his brothers finding their mates, Archer Roberts needs to get out of town for a while. When the sheriff needs someone to represent Forest's Edge at a shifter council meeting, Archer jumps at the chance to go to Seattle for a few days. While there, he sees his own beautiful mate, only to be told she belongs to someone else.
Madison Parker is contentedly mated, some of the time. She always thought being a fated mate would be like a fairy tale, but she supposed that was silly. Jason is perfectly nice, if not a little pushy. She knows he's right, that they keep coming back to each other because they are meant to be together. If only she could figure out why she feels so drawn to the gorgeous bear shifter visiting town. Mates are not drawn to other people, right?
Is Archer right about Madison being his mate? Or is he so desperate for one of his own that he is willing to take someone else's?
