Excellent, if used with other resources

This book has a ridiculously long diagnostic test, almost 390 questions, but it does really help you to narrow your focus to study your weakest areas. I think the section on research methods is more thorough than Princeton Review, and that using these two books together to study would be a good idea.

No comparison

There's no comparison next to other books. This book is THE BEST test prep for psych. It covers more of the field and is more up-to-date. I was a little hesitant because I had read some of the reviews here on this website. But I found the other reviews mostly unrealistic. So what if the test questions don't cover exactly the same material as the review chapters! Psych is a big field and no one book can cover the entire subject. Of course the test questions covered new stuff. They're supposed to! I highly recommend this book.

Excellent!

My undergraduate classes did not prepare me at all for studying for the Psych GRE. So I memorized this book and referred to the Princeton Review Book (Meg Jay) and scored a 770. The book provides detailed information on every topic (though the clinical section is a little Freudian...) and makes even difficult topics easy to understand. The actual test was very different from all the practice tests I took (this book, Princeton Review and REA) but I felt like I was able to make educated inferences based on what I'd learnt here. Definitely a good buy!

The best book out there for psych GRE prep

This book seems to be the best there is for Psych Gre prep. It contains three practice exams, as well as a pretty good review of psychology topics. It would be better if the answers for the diagnostic exam questions had explanations, and if the questions were broken down into content categories (ie, so you would know what areas needed work). Overall, though, I found it to be the most helpful.
