An unforgettable part of America's cultural heritage

Grounded in author Rhonda Telfer's memories of childhood on a fourth-generation family farm, Grandpa's Treasure is a children's picturebook following best friends Will and Aaron who travel from their suburban neighborhood to Grandpa's farm. They discover the many ways that the barn is like a castle, with Grandpa as its king! "They looked out a window. A big machine was trampling a field. It was growling and heading toward the barn. 'What's that?' asked Will. 'A combine,' said Aaron, 'picking Grandpa's corn.' The combine crawled closer. 'It looks like a dragon,' said Will." Illustrated entirely with majestic color photographs, Grandpa's Treasure is a wonderful reminder of the family farms that form an unforgettable part of America's cultural heritage, and is highly recommended.
My children love it.

My children love it. My 3, 5 and 9 year old all enjoy the book. It provides each of them with something different. We spend some time each summer on my family's farm. Since the kids have read the book I can actually see a greater appreciation of the farm live. I love that the book gives my children a connection to our heritage.
