One day as Grandpa Herbie and I were admiring the flowers in the park, we saw a few ees buzzing around the roses. Grandpa Herbie asked me if I knew what the bees were doing. When I shook my head in doubt, he told me the wonderful story of the clever little bees that can make honey from pollen and nectar, which they gather from the flowers. The pollen sticks to the hairs on their hind legs so that they can carry it back to their hives.
