Taylor Elizabeth, a farm girl from a small rural town was the last person you would have expected to have an eating disorder. But at only thirteen years old, the pressure to fit in and achieve perfection mounts, and she finds herself trapped in a vicious cycle of obsession, denial, and isolation.

Hungry to be seen, to feel heard, and to feel good enough- for anyone. With her grandpa dying from cancer, her parents fighting, and her body changing due to puberty -it felt as if her life was spiraling out of control. After joining track and field, she quickly found that the exercise was helping her feel better in her body. She began comparing herself to other girls and wondered- What if I was skinnier? Would I be noticed, seen, and liked more by those around me? Would I love myself more? She fought for perfection, validation, and acceptance relentlessly, even at the cost of her wellbeing.

After over a decade of education, therapy, and recovery- Taylor shares her remarkable journey of self-discovery and recovery from anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and OCD. Her mission is to help those who feel lost or hopeless in recovery and encourage them to continue seeking treatment. She wrote this for those currently struggling that they might finally feel like someone understands. Lastly, she wrote this for caretakers watching a loved one struggle with an eating disorder, who are unsure how to help.
