Perfect Nighttime Companion!

Sweet little bear helps toddlers (and older kids, too) stay in bed through the night. The soft, glowing nightlife turns itself off after 15 minutes or so, which is great. For middle-of-the-night wake-ups, he can easily be turned back on and will stay on until your little one falls back to sleep. We read this book before bed every night for YEARS while my daughters were little. I wish it were still being published so we could find a replacement for our tattered one -- the light still works btw, after 6 years of nightly use!

Cute idea, but could be more durable

This was my adopted son's first book. We read it to him and placed the book/nightlight in his crib from his very first night with us, and it quickly became a "lovey" attachment object. By the time he was 2, he was able to supply the end words of all the rhymes, so I would say that the story is very memorable for young ones because of its easy, gentle rhyme scheme. My only complaint is that the bear nightlight does not separate from the book, but is glued onto an extended cardboard back cover. It was only a matter of time before my son had ripped off the nightlight, leaving a messy looking book behind. Wish the nightlight would be placed in a "cubby" in the book's cover so that it could be used in place or separate from the book. At my soon-to-be-3 year old son's request, I'm ordering another copy of this book to replace his well-worn and chewed first copy.
