I was on a retreat a couple of months ago. When there's a break in the schedule I like to go for a walk in the woods. This is how I try to be with my God in the silence of nature. I came across a path. I turned on to the path beaten down by previous walkers or hikers. After a while, I noticed on one of the trees a little blue circle made out of tin. I knew that sometimes hikers put markers on trees to point out the way for fellow hikers. So I started looking for the little blue circles. When you stand by the tree with a blue circle, you should be able to see the next one to lead you on your way. Sometimes you don't see the next one right away. It might of rotted away or just fell off after many years on the tree. That is when you have to trust and keep going on what you believe is the right path until you find another circle. So I decided I would look daily for God's blue circles to guide me on my spiritual journey. I invite you along.
