Not for those with weak bladders!

The Tammys, those Mississippi belles gone bad, are back with another hysterically funny cross-section of their bigger than life lives. Just a sampling of the chapter titles should be sufficient to give you a good feel for the irreverent joy in store when you read this: My Hors Are Moning; A Pot to Priss In; What to do When the Rabbit Dies; Divorce, Dating Again, and Revirgination; Civil Rights, Body Hair, and Other Delicate Matters; and, of course, More Death-Defying Recipes. Let me just tell y'all, if you work somewhere sedate and dignified, don't try to read this there because I guarantee you're going to be hooting out loud and you might even wet your pants a little. God save the Sweet Potato Queens, God love 'em and, God willing, there will be a SPQ3 soon.

God Save the Sweet Potato Queens

I hate sweet potatoes but I love the Sweet Potato Queens. I read excepts to my husband and now he is scared and says that the book is dangerous. I say that it is a must-read for anyone who has ever been a woman or is wanting to be one in the near future!

This Book Has The Vatican Talking...Buy Now Before The Ban!

Only Jill Conner Browne and her Royal Court of Tammy's could inspire the world with simple prose and potent "Promise"! This is a smile every page kind of book, that had me laughing till my jaw hurt. It is the sort of book you will want to buy and share with your friends and maybe even an enemy or two. (It can only help either way!) I bought copies for all the clergy I know and asked them to use a few of Jill's powerful stories to brighten up those Sunday Morning sermons that are real "sleepers" of another sort. Problem is, more than one preacher selected the wrong stories to share from their pulpit and now assorted clergy and prelates across the USA are talking about adding GOD SAVE THE SWEET POTATO QUEENS to the "INDEX". So don't delay...BUY YOUR COPY TODAY before it is banned in Boston. I have even heard that copies are being sent to the Vatican for immediate translation and review...God Save The Sweet Potato Queens and God save us all from Sad Saints! Be sure to read the chapter on "Death-Defying Recipes" that will make any soul sing! Death Corn Five is a must try at that next after-funeral gathering. Even if you don't like the corn (and you will) just think of how much fun it will be to tell others about where you found the recipe. Sure to brighten up even the most somber funeral gathering. This is a book you won't want to miss and a fitting follow-up to her first work: "The Sweet Potato Queens Book of Love". Guys, this book will help you understand chicks better than any other you've ever read...and it is short with easy words too! Thanks Jill and Vivat Regina!

The Triumphant Return of the Queens

If y'all are as particular as I about no-nonsense advice, eat-until-it-hurts cookin', big wigs, sequins, tiaras, and to whom you give The Promise, look no further than Jill Conner Browne's masterful follow-up to her "Book of Love." I swear, Jill's tongue and her brazen wit have actually gotten SHARPER since her debut...and she'll still "Lick You All Over for 10 Cents." My sides have been hurting for days with this one (or is that just the Twinkie Pie?)! God save the Tammys and God save the Sweet Tater Queen!

She brings us back to the sweetness

Jill Conner Browne just keeps getting better. God Save the SPQ's is in every respect better than her fabulous debut, The SPQ's Book of Love. Jill has a point of view, a brilliant sense of humor, and a voice I'd kill for. Or at least hurt badly for. Sure, she's funny as hell, but what makes this second book even better than the first is Jill's willingness to expose herself...so to speak. She shows us that the humor frequently comes from not-so-funny places. I think it was Phyllis Diller who said, "Comedy is tragedy revisited." With Jill as your tour guide, you'll laugh as you learn. And after all the funny, funny, funny, she heeds the advice of the late, great Willie Morris, and brings you back to the sweetness. And it makes you cry and feel like you've connected with someone. All books should do so well.
