God and Government
God and Government is a biblical examination of authority, leadership, justice, and the kingdom of God. In a world where politics often divides families, churches, communities, and nations, this book calls readers back to a higher foundation: God is the first authority, and every human authority is accountable to Him.
Through Scripture, Dedric Knox explores the purpose of government, the responsibility of leadership, the danger of corruption, and the believer's role as a citizen under God. This book does not seek to promote a political party or defend a human system. Instead, it asks a deeper question: What does God require from those who lead, govern, serve, and follow?
From Moses, David, Daniel, and the prophets to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles, God and Government shows that authority is not ownership - it is stewardship. Leadership is not meant for pride, control, or personal gain, but for justice, service, protection, humility, and righteousness.
This book also challenges readers to avoid political idolatry and remember that no earthly government can replace the kingdom of God. Politics matters because people matter, but politics cannot save. Only God can.
Written with biblical conviction and practical wisdom, God and Government is for believers, leaders, public servants, pastors, ministry workers, and citizens who want to think more clearly about faith, authority, justice, and public life.
At its heart, this book reminds us that God does not merely call men and women into religion or institutions. He calls them to Himself - to be holy, set apart, faithful stewards, and ambassadors for His kingdom on earth.
