Excellent!

My whole family loves this book! My husband and I never get tired of reading it over and over to our son because it makes us laugh too. The author wrote this book for her four year old son, and you can just imagine how it was inspired by (and inspires) the crazy games they play with their toy vehicles. The bugs are forever taking their wacky contraptions, doing ill advised stunts, and gloriously crashing to the amusement of everyone. This book is a refreshing change from the endless stream of books that are subtle propaganda to teach some civilizing message or to convince them to sleep. I find reading to my child is calming enough and I just want his imagination to soar. The drawings are wildly expressive and inspire kids and grownups alike to remember that you hardly need to be a master of realistic drawing to create wonderful pictures. This book is the first of a whole series of "minibug" books which are also thoroughly worthwhile. Go bugs!

A great book for bug-n-vehicle lovers!

My kids (3/4 and 6/7 years) laughed so hard the first time we read this book, we simply had to own it. The bugs are darling and there are a ton of different vehicles in it, so my boys adore it. WARNING: this is definitely a picture book, but it's got LOTS of words, so it takes awhile to read through! Well worth it, though - they (and I) love this!
