Pastor Brandt brings many years of Christian living, pastoral ministry, ministry administration, and a heart for God to the pages of Gifts for the Marketplace. In it, he commends the reader to use and understand that the gifts of the Spirit are for use in the "everyday" world we live in. Each of the Spirit's gifts are thoughfully detailed with biblical, contemporary, and personal examples. Pastor Brandt may make the best review of his own book when he says in Chapter 15; " The burden and primary message of this book has been gifts for the marketplace. Our purpose has been to generate a greater awareness of the need for and possibility of manifestation of the Spirit's gifts outside the four walls of the sactuary. Awareness of God in the meeting place ought always to result in awareness of God in the marketplace." Pastor Brandt continues to offer all of his writings in a very affordable package and they are well worth reading. My copy of Gifts for the Marketplace was copyright 1989.
