This was the first comic book series I would buy at the convenience store (they used to sell them there!) when I was a kid so I am biased, but I loved reading this again, including some issues I missed initially. Great villains and storylines (for the most part.)
The art is very 90s, I thought Mark Texeira pencilled all these but he only did one issue, being the inker mostly. So the art isn’t as quite what I remembered. It was clean and clear but not as daring as it would be later on. But I’ll take 90s style over 95% of what comes out presently.
So it’s not a totally groundbreaking collection but a fun series to read and admire. And way overdue too!
