Muratsan (1854-1908), born Grigor Ter Hovhannisyan, was a renowned Armenian writer, novelist, and poet, and one of the most celebrated literary figures of the new Armenian literature period. His most famous representative work, the historical novel Gevorg Marzpetuni, published in 1869, is a classic in Armenian literature, renowned for its grand historical backdrop, captivating plot, fully realized characters, and profound literary value. This work established Muratsan's place in the history of Armenian literature. His other representative works include Unveiling the Mystery (1890), One of the Two (1891), The Sorrow of Mrs. Pirarian (1897), Man Proposes, God Disposes (1897), Wreath of Protest (1899), Poste Restante (1899), Why Don't You Accept My Signature (1902), among others.

Huang Yating, Ph.D. in Literature, is a lecturer at Beijing Foreign Studies University and an expert member of the Translators Association of China. She holds the CATTI Level 1 Interpretation Certificate (Russian). Her main research interests include linguistics, translation studies, and regional studies of Russia and Central Asia.
