Excellent technical discussion and system

This text is an excellent one for anyone interested in dice control. It explains all the basics of betting craps, but the real meat is the second part. A complete explanation of controlled shooting is given, along with a training schedule, statistical tests, and advanced dice sets. A MUST READ for anyone attempting to beat the game of craps.

A Genuine Gem of a Book!

After reading "Get the Edge at Craps", I finally realize what I have witnessed first hand while vacationing on different occasions in Las Vegas. SharpShooter does know what he is talking about. He even details the experience and the confluences that shape the outcome of the dice. What I like best about the book is the fact that you can pick it up right away and easily read through it and later get into greater detail about the many variables that contribute to a great roll of the dice. Frank Scoblete is to be commended for his great editorial talents in polishing this book. Second of all, I don't think the casinos really understand the legitimacy of SharpShooters' method that anyone can learn. This book will definitely improve your game and give the average player a perceived advantage in something that is otherwise a random event. The method that works for me is the three and two V-setup after the point is established plus the box cars aligned on the Come-Out roll. I am still working on a smooth delivery however which does take time to master? The details about the physics involved in throwing the dice are intriguing to anyone mechanically inclined. The history and craps fundamentals are also especially helpful to the novice and professional alike. If you want to play like a pro or pretend to know what you are doing then the $10+ dollars is well spent on this book. The casinos will always invent ways to keep the advantage that they have over everyone who comes to play. The methods described by SharpShooter can only level the playing field in a game that is fast-paced to begin with where money is won or lost in the span of a few minutes not hours.

This is One of Two Text Books for Craps

I just took the Golden Touch craps dice control course with Sharpshooter and Frank Scoblete in Tunica, Mississippi. This book and Frank's Forever Craps were the text books for the course. They are must reading if you want to learn the basics of dice control and how to bet on random rollers when they are shooting. I also recommend their course. You can go to their website ... to find out more about it, but don't take the course until you have thoroughly read this book and Scoblete's book. They are both great books.

Something New in the Field of Gaming

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, I stopped by the Gambler's Book Store for a look. The gentleman there asked if he could help me, and when I replied that I was just looking to see what was new out there, he opined that there was really nothing new to be written in gaming for the traditional table games.I would like to think that Sharpshooter's book is something new. Sure, controlled or rhythmic throwing and setting are not new topics. What is new is the integration of all elements and presents to the crap player with an open mind the actual techniques that can be done by anyone willing to put in the time to practice and fully understand and integrate all that is presented. While another reviewer mentions that more in depth presentations have been made by other authors such as Scoblete and others, I doubt if any of them presents it in as systematic and as simple as Sharpshooter does here.There are people that believe that all dice throws are random and nothing we can do can influence that. This book will probably not change your mind. But to those that are open, there are mathematical and logical presentations, as well as rigid mechanics arguments that would have you think that it can be possible. For those that are open to that, this book will detail exactly how you can learn to do it.As a disclaimer, I have to reveal that I have taken a course taught by Sharpshooter and have seen these things in a casino, as well as had a beginning level of success commensurate to my experience. I will say that the book contains almost everything that was presented in the course materials, with nothing held back. I am a health professional, and my educational background is strongly weighted in the science and mathematical fields. The arguments that Sharpshooter presents are mathematically and physically sound. Everything that Sharpshooter presents in his seminar is here, save the personal instruction on your personal mechanics.You will not be able to control the dice 100% of the time. Even Randy Johnson doesn't strike out every single batter he faces. But by controlling the outcome of as little as 1 throw in 43 will put you at break even with the casino. Any better than this yields a positive edge in the casino. Compare that to what card counters experience as an edge in blackjack.For someone that is looking for a different approach to craps than the standard money management angles, this is a book that can give them something new.

Must Read For Craps Players

Frank Scoblete mentions in his foreword that Sharpshooter has picked up where the Captain of craps has left off. After reading this book TWICE already I have to agree. The only way to beat craps is through controlled shooting, or, as Scoblete calls it, rhythm rolling. Sharpshooter goes into every aspect of how to do this. You learn about the proper grip, the proper dice sets, and how to gently throw the dice so that your sets stay in order. I have to say this book is right up there with Scoblete?s book Forever Craps because Sharpshooter is talking about real ways to get an edge on the casinos and not just betting systems. This is a must read for anyone who is the least bit serious about craps. In my opinion, it?s an instant classic.
