This thesis focuses on the differentiation strategies and materials that can be used in German lessons with refugee children. The first part of the thesis presents current figures and terminology relating to the refugee issue. It also discusses German as a second language. A further section compares standard German lessons with German lessons for refugee children. A qualitative empirical study aims to clarify the question of differentiation strategies and materials for German lessons with refugee children.
