The Hunt for Happiness

"Gaming for Love" is about a middle-age widow and her attempt to find happiness. Tessa has tried very hard in her past to find a good man, but always seems to find Mr. Wrong. She decides to make a change and does the ultimate......promises herself no sex until she finds Mr. Right. At a social gathering to meet many single individuals, Tessa meets Mr. Sterling Cole, a gorgeous, wealthy Christian. A woman could not ask for any more, or could she? "Gaming for Love" by Nancy Weaver was not only great, but also exciting to read. Women who have experienced the woes of locating a GOOD man would enjoy this book. "Gaming for Love" reminds me of Cinderella and Prince Charming with a unique twist. I really don't read many romance novels, but this was exceptionally good and I look forward to reading more of Nancy Weaver's novels. Reviewed by: Tekisha 4.5 stars

Tessa Morrison is a mature, widowed mother of a teenage daughter who is ready to step back on the dating scene and remarry. Her first encounter is with Memphis Easton. Tessa thinks that Memphis may be the one until he starts to show his true colors. The last straw is when Memphis comes over with the scent of another woman on him. Next was Roman Montona. Again Tessa thought that perhaps he could be the one, but that was not the case. He was insecure and controlling, and he had the nerve to leave her stranded. Just as Tessa closed the "vagina bar," she meets a gorgeous man that is everything she wants. Sterling Cole is the last of a dying breed. He's handsome, wealthy, and he knows how to treat a lady. Knowing that the "vagina bar" is closed, Tessa has to hope that Sterling is the one that can put the "open" sign back on the "bar." Gaming For Love is an excellent book by Nancy Weaver. It was like having a 'girls night out' session. Each of the characters were very realistic and relatable. It was refreshing to read about a mature woman who is ready to date, but realizes that it doesn't always get better with time. Reviewed by Tenecia for Urban Reviews

Second time around...not easy!

Although no-one can replace her first husband who was tragically taken away from her; 37 year-old widow Tessa Morrison longs for a man she can call her own. Her desire is to fall in love again, remarry and have a healthy sex life...like the life she had with her first husband Drew, but that was easier said than done. It's been ten years since Drew's death and Tessa is very lonely. Being thrust back into the dating game after being in a loving marriage has been hard. The pickings are slim and even worse, most men had issues or weren't willing to settle with one woman. After dating a few losers Tessa was more frustrated then ever. But a friend told her not to give up, simply change the rules of the game and have faith that God will send her a soul mate! But before Tessa could stop listening to the cravings of her body and focused on what she really wanted...a husband...she had to weed through suitors such as Memphis Easton and Roman Montana Author Nancy Weaver has written a story of a beautiful sassy woman who is looking for love a second time around and has found out in order to get what she wants without compromising her position she has to lay the cards out on the table. Gaming for love proves that the rules CAN be changed! I liked the story although Tessa sounded a little desperate to me, but in a way I could understand where she was coming from. But it seems a little patience and faith would have bought about the same results...minus Memphis and Roman. Locksie ARC Book Club Inc.

Nancy Weaver has done it again with another great novel! Tessa Morrison is a young 37 year old widow in seach of love and marriage again. After she gets involved with the first man she has dated since the death of her husband, she finds out he is cheating on her and had the nerve to come to her home early one morning after not showing up for their date smelling of another woman. The next man she meets through a personals ad in the paper via her friend Sierra. He turns out to be a jealous and possesive yet great looking man. She dumps him finally and realizes that she doesn't have to settle when she wants it all in a relationship love and marriage. She meets a lady name Phoenix who tells Tessa that she needs put her faith in God and tells her to let men know that the vagina bar is closed until marriage. Phoenix invites her to a Christian singles get together and Tessa meets Sterling Cole and the attraction is mutual. They both want the same things from love and marriage. Of course there is a bit of drama that threatens their happiness but you will have to read the book to find out what happens. I give this story 10 Stars and you won't be able to put it down until you find out what happens to the couple at the end.
