If you like boring, formulaic Hardy boys stories....look elsewhere!!

I couldn't disagree more with the other reviewers; Game Plan For Disaster was one of the best of the digests (particularly the wanderers) that I've read. The book had probably one of the most realistic plots (a college athlete is being targeted for unknown reasons, the action is very reasonable (the Hardy's saving the athlete from a sniper) and still exudes a sense of excitement. This book did drag a little at times (several Hardy Books do...The Mummy case for example) but the plot is interesting enough to keep you reading. While it is corny when the bookie cries, that does not take away from the overall story. The bookie subplot (the bookies' terrorize a young boys family to get hold of an expensive, important precious metal antique)does not tie in with the main plot to harm the college athlete. **Gasp everybody!** This is a refreshing change, as many Hardy's stories (The Pentagon Spy comes to mind: The Hardy boys investigate thefts of weather vanes in Pennsylvania-where farms contain mysterious hex signs-that "happen" to tie into their father's pentagon espionage case)attempt to join two different plot's in an utterly ridiculous and cheesy fashion. This is a great book. If you like the wanderers, I would also recommend "Trapped at Sea." The story is fast-paced and at times hilarious! Enjoy!
