Chance Curran isn't a superhero, but he does have a superpower: he can make a duplicate of virtually any object, simply by touching it. Selfish, immature, and irresponsible, Chance has been using this ability to make himself wealthy, and to make his life as carefree as possible -- he spends most of his time drinking, partying, and picking up women in Signal City's clubs and bars.

This easy life comes to an end, however, when the supervillain gang Organized Crime discovers his secret. Kidnapped, exploited, and forced to duplicate high-tech gizmos and magical artifacts for the villains, Chance slowly begins to reassess his life and character...and when he meets another prisoner, a pure-hearted young girl named Galatea, he becomes determined to change.

It may be too little too late, though, because Organized Crime has concocted a scheme to do away with Signal City's heroes once and for all -- and Chance's powers are instrumental to their plan. If he can't figure out how to unravel their plot, the entire city will descend into chaos...and Chance will be the one who winds up taking the blame.
