FAST PACED URBAN FANTASY THRILLER

This is a thoroughly enjoyable book - very fast paced, unique and imaginative urban fantasy who dunnit. However, if you are in the market for a paranormal romance, you may be disappointed. There is a significant love interest but no happy ending and the sex scenes are pretty raw. There's also a fair few of them although in large part, they fit with the story. I dont know what I expected when I bought the book as I was mainly interested as the setting was Melbourne where I once lived. It certainly surpassed my expectations, with good characters, a strong plot, plenty of action, it is dark and sexy - yet still left me with a bit of a lump in my throat. The book seeded clues to the whodunnit (some resolution at the end of this book but many not until the end of the third in the series) in much the same manner as Robert Jordan does in the Wheel of Time series so it's a case of - note down that clue or you'll miss it!! For this reason, some readers may find it hard to follow as you need to be awake and kicking to keep up with who is who and what the implications are. I raced out and bought the rest of the series the very next day. Great fun!

Fast, Action Packed and Exciting!

I loved this book, i brought book 1 and 2 on a whim and wasn't expecting much out of them but boy did i get my money's worth! Heaps of action, fast paced with a bit of romance (ok, more than a bit), did i say it has heaps of action? What can i say about the main character Rielly? She is a really loveable character with a strong head, i can't get enough of her or her world, i can't put these books down! A really good read, i highly recommend this series.

Full Moon Rising

I've been meaning to read this book for the longest time, but it took me a while to get around to it because it was only recently released in Australia and it was an amazing read. Keri has managed to find a whole new spin to the paranormal genre featuring vampire/werewolf characters. The story has an undercurrent of sensuality and eroticism that is unselfconscious. Full Moon Rising was a page-turner and I loved Riley and her world. Can't wait to dip more into this universe and thankfully Keri is such a prolific writer that there are four more Riley books waiting for me to jump into. Best of all Full Moon Rising is set in Melbourne and as a fellow Melbournian this fact made this book even closer to my heart.

great twist

I had trouble putting this one down. Great twist, very hot plot. I loved the characters. They were tough, but not overly done like some authors can portray vampire/werewolf characters. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.

Keri Arthur delivers another incredible story...

I was so excited to read a new book by Keri Arthur and she did not disappoint me! Riley and Rhoan Jenson are twin dhampires, the product of a werewolf mother and a vampire father. Both were kicked out of their pack once reaching adulthood and have tried to keep their heritage a secret since then. Rhoan is a guardian for the Melbourne Directorate of Other Races while Riley is part of the office staff. The Directorate was created to protect humans from the supernatural races and to police within the supernatural races without involving humans. Riley has not yet met her soulmate and thus has two wolves, Talon and Misha, with whom she regularly mates with when the heat of the moon rises within her. She has little interest in gaining other mates until a naked vampire named Quinn shows up at the home she shares with her brother. Riley is attracted to Quinn but is also very suspicious as she senses that Rhoan is in trouble. She locates and rescues Rhoan with the assistance of her boss and the head of the guardian division, Jack. Meanwhile, someone is trying to kill Riley while one of her mates has betrayed her and is trying to impregnate her against her will. I won't spoil more of the plot but will tell you there are missing guardians, clones, and even other supernatural species that play a part in the plotline. Keri Arthur leaves this book wide open for a sequel and I for one hope she writes one quickly! Definitely a recommended read!
