This book is great for kids - it combines an interesting story line with practical lessons on life without being 'preachy'.

A fun, well paced book perfect for pre-schoolers and beginning readers! The rhythm, rhyme and message, not to mention the excellent illustrations of the story, will make this book a favorite for all young children! Dr. Seuss look out!

Terrific!

I bought this book on the advice of a friend as a gift for my niece. She love it. Her folks like it, too, as it conveys to the child (and parent!) the message that one must not live life as a function of what others do or say: be your own leader, find your own path; unhealthy competition won't make you happy. All this in a simple, fun, happy tone, while also teaching concepts such as "over," "under," "through," etc. The picture are great, too, making us laugh for minutes at a time. A good read, a good learning tool, and a good time.
