The book connects reading theory to classroom activities. It encourages teachers to explore their beliefs and assumptions about the nature of reading and provides theoretical basis for better understanding of the background of various reading strategies. The book provides a variety of examples of methods based on these principles and enables a teacher to choose the strategy most appropriate in any particular situation.
