"From Now to Then" was written as part of the Annual Youtheatre Short Story Festival where the theme for all participants was Waiting.Lee Jay could not help but be inspired and heavily influenced by one of his favourite plays of all time, "Waiting for Godot" written by Samuel Beckett.Although there are many similarities with Beckett's masterpiece, this story had been rumbling in Lee Jay's imagination for a decade, and this Festival was the event to pull the two together. The audience will get a familiar glimpse into a dimension where the clowns never go home, they face certain death bound to work for eternity, or to pull together a sense of blind faith and jump into a roaring tsunami. It is a tale of biblical proportion, and by the end of the play, we are left with a sense of mystery and wonderment.
