GOD'S GREAT GRACE

EXCITING JOURNEY ON HOW PASTOR RAUL RIES WENT FROM VIOLENT YOUTH TO THE JUNGLES OF VIETNAM TO ALMOST MURDERING HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN WHEN GOD MIRACULOUSLY TRANSFORMED HIS HEART IN THE LAST MINUTES AS HE LAID IN WAIT TO MURDER HIS LOVED ONES. GOD TRULY IS GRACIOUS.

A Story of Victory

Raul's story is one of those stories that sticks with you. Growing up with an alcoholic father who abused him and his mother, rage grew inside Raul. He joined gangs in the Los Angeles area. He committed crimes, he hurt people until one day a judge told him it was either prison or the military. Raul went to Vietnam and came back angrier than ever. Eventually Raul's anger reached its boiling point and just as he was about to do the unthinkable, God intervened. The rest I will not spoil, but suffice to say, it is an amazing story. If you want to see what God can do even in seemingly insurmountable circumstances, read this book. If you want to hear a miraculous story of how God calls the most unlikely people to do his work, read this book. If you just want to read a great story, read this book. I grew up in Los Angeles County attending Raul's church from the time I was about two years old (1979). My dad used to be on the church softball team with Raul in the early 1980's. The church then was still at the old Safeway building. It's good to see how the Lord continues to work through Raul. I watched one of Raul's services online the other day and he remains an inspiring teacher.

exellent book by Pastor Raul Ries

I attented Golden Springs Church when I lived in CA, and Pastor Raul Ries, really seemed right on Biblicly speaking, his books are inspirational, this one in particlar.
