Fresh Encounters is a fresh approach!

I thoroughly enjoyed "Fresh Encounters," in fact, I read through it twice. This is a much needed book for pastors who desire to effectively lead prayer gatherings. I was never formally or informally trained in the art of leading a prayer meeting, and the models I observed were often less than exciting. Daniel's book beautifully outlines a fresh approach for corporate prayer through worship-based prayer meetings. The focus is not on problems but on God, therefore, it becomes faith-building and uplifting. As we praise God our problems seems to shrivel. I am using this approach and it has brought a freshness and a clear focus to our prayer gatherings. I highly recommend it!

Lives Being Renewed and Transformed!

Daniel Henderson's book is based on his journey, in teaching and living out true biblical principles on corporate prayer. The Lord is using him in transforming churches and people in the area of Christ-centered, church-focused movements of worship-based prayer throughout the world. Knowing many of these people and situations, I have seen lives renewed and revitalized in the church for His kingdom. I have seen marriages healed, miracles answered, and hearts transformed through the power of united prayer. Personally, this was a new way of of seeing the freshness of coroporate prayer in the church today. Growing up in the church, prayer became pretty mundane, uneventful, and laundry list for requests. My life has been changed because I have learned to seek Him first. It is not what the Lord can do for me but how can I glorify and honor Him. This book is a testimony of how prayer can change hearts. I would encourage pastors, leaders, or anyone who is searching for a powerful way to transform your own life or others around you - read this book!

A timely message for the Church

Having had Daniel Henderson as my pastor, and having seen the principles in this book lived out in his life and the life of our church, I highly recommend "Fresh Encounters" to every Christian! As Daniel has said, asking which form of prayer is most important -- private or corporate -- is like asking which leg is more important to walk with. You need both! I limped along on the leg of private prayer for many years; once I began participating in regular, corporate, worship-based prayer, my walk was greatly strengthened. Notice that it's not just "corporate prayer;" it's "worship-based corporate prayer." There IS a difference! This book is practical, with lots of real-life illustrations sprinkled throughout, as well as suggestions on how you can implement worship-based prayer in your own church. I can't think of a more timely message for today's church. Read "Fresh Encounters" if you desire to look at prayer with a fresh perspective -- you won't be disappointed!

Life Changing!

Pastor Daniel's passion for worship centered corporate prayer is contagious. Since reading the book in early July, attending a mini-prayer summit at Grace, and experiencing a Fresh Encounter prayer meeting, my personal prayer life and ministry has been dramatically impacted.
