Wonderful Addition to the Horse Fiction Genre

Thirteen-year-old Samantha (Sam) Forster, is absolutely ecstatic when she finds a great home for a group of so-called "unadoptable" mustangs. In fact, she feels like an absolute hero, and is filled with so much strength, she feels like she can do anything. But when she promises to help care for each and every horse, especially the beautiful little blind filly she names Faith, she realizes just how much responsibility she has now. Between school, chores, homework, friends, taking care of her own horses, and helping to take care of the mustangs, Sam feels completely overwhelmed. But when the little blind filly wanders away alone during a horrible snowstorm, Sam blames herself, and knows that it's up to her to save the filly before something terrible happens to her. And maybe, just maybe, her beloved Phantom will help her save the day. This is my first ever PHANTOM STALLION book, and I am not in anyway disappointed. I found the character of Sam to be full of wonderful spirit, determination, and intelligence. Her outlook on life, and her love for animals (especially horses), is absolutely wonderful, and her courageousness in searching for the blind little filly in the middle of a snowstorm was utterly remarkable. The supporting characters, such as Sam's friends, Jen and Jake, and her guardians, her Father and her Grandmother, make the story so much better, and keep it flowing well, while at the same time capturing the readers' attention. This is a great book, I loved it. Sam is walking home from school one day when three horses follow her home two paints and a bay the thing is they leave when Sam crosses the River Bend bridge. Sam tells her Gram and Gram seems to recall that Trudy Allen From Deerpath Ranch loves paint horses and that the three horses might belong to her. Problem is that Sam and Jake used to think Mrs Allen was a witch. And pretty soon Sam is working for the old lady. After that Gram says Bryanna Olson (Sam's, Dads girlfriend) is having some trouble trying to find homes for unadoptable mustangs. Bryanna wants them homed because she is afraid her stand in Norman white a representitive from Las Vegas might put them down while she is away on business Sam tries to think out a plan at least a few of the horses are paints and Gram had said Mrs Allen loved paint horses. But things turn from bad to worse when Glen Scott the local equine vet and the BLM's on call vet, calls and says that Norman white called to have the horses put down, he's even got a backo digging one big grave and that one of the disfigured mares gave birth to a filly, a blind fillie. And the reason Mr White wants to have the horses put down is because he considered them unhealthy because of the way they looked. Will the Blind filly be put down or will Trudy Allen save the day? it comes down to this and this is quite a good read so please do.

The Winner of The Most Touching Book!

Free Again is one of the most touching books I have ever read. It is about a beautiful Medicine Hat Pinto filly. She is blind, and her name is Faith. When she gets lost in a snowstorm, it is the Phantom who saves her. All the Phantom Stallion books are really good. I especially like how descriptive and realistic Mrs. Farley is. Sometimes, I feel like I'm there, like I'M Sam or Ace or the Phantom. And, Free Again introduces Trudy Allen, Faith's owner. I think this is the best Phantom Stallion book so far, and I hope Terri Farley writes a hundred of them.

The best book ever

Some things have changed since the series began, instead of The Phantom and Sams relashinsip growing his being captured seems to have weakened it. However it becomes clear in this and other books that maybe all is not lost...The little Medicine Hat filly adds spice to this book by proving blind trust..can take place in differant sorts...I really like this book the most because it introduces more characters. I LOVE this series because if something happens in one book it is continued in the others, such as Ace bucking when he doesn't think Sams paying attenion...

In the fifth book of the Phantom Stallion series, Sam finds a home for a group of unadoptable mustangs, including a mare with her blind filly. She takes on extra work to help the blind filly, causing tension at school and at home, especially since her grades have been dropping. Plus Sam is afraid the Phantom has lost all the trust in her he once had, and this upsets her greatly. This series is consistently good. I liked that in this book we meet another character (Mrs. Allen) and we get to know a character (Darrell) who we haven't heard much from. It adds a little bit of spice to the series, as well as the new horses and changing seasons. This book is definately worth reading!
