The Fragrance of Beauty

All women should read this book and then pass it down to your daughters and daughters will pass down to theirs. My first one came from my mother and Fragrance of Beauty is the most important message my eyes have ever read. There is no need for any other book for a woman, young or old to read in their lifetime. This is the only one!

Not your momma's book

After years of my mom constantly putting this on my bed, dresser, in my backpack, my purse, basically anytime from junior high to my late twenties, i finally read it. i really regret not reading it earlier in life like she had wanted. mom's are usually right and being so scoffed about this book makes me sad. i truly believe this book would have saved me years of hardship and emotional baggage i brought to my marriage. constant struggles christian women deal with are honestly challenged here and i applaud the author. i think every young woman should read this and i really hope my daughter will read this when she is old enough to read so i don't have to badger her like my own daughter.

Wow! This kind of beauty will set you free!

I was given this book years and years ago when I was in college and struggling with an eating disorder. I was a new Christian and God was just starting to work on this little "clay pot", acquainting me with his lovingkindness. One evidence of His love...someone gave me the Fragrance of Beauty! I have read and reread, underlined and highlighted this practical little book...it was just what I needed as a young woman caught up in insecurities...thinking I was completely unlovely and unworthy of love. This book helped me to start challenging the world's way of looking at beauty and pointed me to a very freeing understanding of beauty and worth. Now many years later, I know so many women of (all ages) who fail to see their true beauty. This book helped open a door to freedom in this area in my life! The Fragrance of Beauty would be a wonderful book to pass along to anyone you care about who struggles in this area. Note: I have the very old edition which I have worn out! I have to laugh! As I wrote this review with the book in front of me, the pages were falling out from years of use...so I decided to order the newer edition! It's ordered and on its way!

An Oldie but Goodie

I have given out so many copies of this book through the years. It is a topical treasure with Bible advice for every common problem that a woman goes through. Joyce explains how a woman's emotional responses to situations cannot always be depended on. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for truthful answers for any circumstance they may be facing.
