Coal is black, the clothes are grey and smog blanks out the November nights. 'Fragments' is a sequence of three-line vignettes that give colour and life to monochrome days. Each fragment a verse in a poem that paints a picture of a decade and gives voice to a generation's untagged graffiti - from days before the aerosol, when all the walls were tumbled down.
