Sweet and satisfying

Belinda Scott left her comfortable life behind when her father loas his business and sold his family into indentured servitude. With both parents dead, she is trying to make her way in a household in Quebec, along with her little sister. Times are tough. An evil man makes her an offer she can't refuse, to be installed in a house in New York to spy on an American patriot. And so poor Belinda gets caught up in revolutionary war politics. Gabriel Elliot has his own demons to fight. Years ago a tragedy took his family from him. Now he is attracted to his new housemaid, but he doesn't trust her. She is, after all, a spy. He tries to resist her charms, but can't seem to. This book has some very sweet scenes, and a few pages that will bring tears to your eyes, but it overall it is a very good read.
