How do you use your five senses, and what do you do if something goes wrong with them? The forest friends - Hawk, Rabbit, Bear, Skunk, and Squirrel - know, and their stories show children what happens when a sense needs a little help to work better. When Hawk bumps into a mountain, Owl prescribes glasses. When Skunk catches a cold, Owl gives him syrup to help him smell again. And when Squirrel gets a paw full of thorns, Owl pulls them out and Squirrel learns to be more careful about what he touches! Just right for preschoolers, these friendly animals and their entertaining stories teach children about their senses and what to do when they need fixing!
I definitely recommend this cute book for young children. Through different animals' experiences, it teaches them about our 5 senses, and also can make them feel more comfortable about going to the doctor. The book is appropriate for toddlers and preschoolers, and the illustrations complement the text perfectly. A winner!
