This is a book about the journey of three women who have a passion for making their homes reflect how they connect with one another. This is done by creating spaces that lend themselves to their creativity-spaces where they can experience the joy and satisfaction of a pleasing environment while having fun doing it. The three women are my mother, my sister, and myself. Three very different styles. It is not a how-to-decorate book that tells you about the placement of furniture or how high a picture should be hung. It's about instinct, passion, and creativity. As a matter of fact, all three of us would have liked to have had jobs where we could have used our creativity, styles, and taste. Instead, we are a retired headmistress, a banker, and a librarian. Not exactly the most creative fields in the world. No wonder we needed an outlet to share our inspirations.
