Oh, the humanity!

I have an interest in flight and recently in airmail. The Time-Life book series are really nice books, and this one was no exception. The history, anecdotes and photographs of the US's early Airmail activities are fascinating. And I simply had no idea how many early pilots died trying to fly at night and fly through terrible conditions. There are also a number of laugh-out-loud anecdotes that are a treat. Overall a book with great information, and great old photos, about a really amazing time in early aviation in the US (Also touches briefly on early air mail activities in the UK, France & Germany). Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in early US aviation or early US Airmail.
