BSN student ? Get this book!

I'm in my junior year of nursing school and this book has been instrumental in my understanding of ICF, ECF, electrolyte imbalances, starling forces, capillary filtration, sodium, cl and water imbalances, solution alterations... and this is only my second week of Path! GREAT BOOK ! I lucked out and they had this edition at the library. As soon as the new edition comes out I am going to by that one b/c I am sure it is going to be a great reference book for NCLEX and for clinical instruction.

This is a wonderful book. Fluid & Electrolytes is a very complex subject and this book was able to simplify and reiterate important topics. The book went over essential topics such as electrolyte imbalances, acid-base imbalances, fluid shifts and made it interesting to learn all at the same time. I highly recommend this book to nursing students.

Great For Nursing Students!

I read this book over my summer break from nursing school and found it very helpful. It is easy to follow and you will be amazed at how interesting fluids and electrolytes can be! It made everything "click"

Where was this book when I was in undergraduate school? Now that I am teaching nursing I have found it very useful in that it has given me a rare opportunity to present a very complex and hard to understand block of material is a manner much easier for students to understand. It is packed with easy to understand pictures, diagrams, and graphs that help teach the concept in a way that is "reader friendly". The illustrations are unbelievable and a great tool used by the author to present the ideas to the reader. I have even had requests from the Occupational Therapy faculty at our college to use the book for their lectures as well.. Great Job ! I would highly recommend it to anyone, whether a staff nurse or a faculty member at a university or college...

very clear and concise with great examples

This study book is a must for anyone who needs to understand about fluid shifts and electrolyte imbalances. I am a R.N.nursing student and I found this book to be invaluabe in explaining a complex subject. I highly recommend it!
