A concise and clear review of renal physiology

This is a very clearly written and concise review of renal physiology as it pertains to the regulation of fluid and electrolyte homeostasis in mammals, particularly humans. Dr. Cogan was a preeminent renal physiologist, one of the major contributors to the field of electrolyte and acid-base homoeostasis. In this short text he reviews the basics of electrolyte physiology. The book is largely geared for medical students and internists but medical personnel and scientists at all levels will find it helpful and a delightful read.
