Fish Village took me back to a time of yesteryear. Memories of growing up as a young girl. The friends you share things with, things that happen in your life that seem monumental. From new neighbors moving in and making a very close friend to losing your first friend/boyfriend to your sister like the young girl in the book. You get to go through the little girl growing up which is interesting. She goes through some traumatic things such as her cousin dying. Trying out for cheerleading and hoping to make the team as well as hoping her friends make the team. Meeting the new hunk of the school and he actually chooses the main character to go out with. She proudly goes with him. Fish Village is a wonderful book that I think a young girl and teenage girls would enjoy. They can see the similarities they have within their own lives.
